bible verse john 14 14What is the meaning of the bible verse John:14 1

1. “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Your verse goes along well with 1Thes沙龙ians 4:13-18. Many today forget that Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world. Revelation 19 tells of Jesus coming as a groom for His bride, when he comes for His own. The last verse mentions the remnant are killed at His coming. Those would have to be the wicked, as all of the righteous leave with Jesus. Revelation 20 then tells of Satan not having anyone to tempt until 1000 years are over. One on the last plagues just before Jesus arrived was this earth in complete darkness. Everything is completely destroyed, and it's like a bottomless pit. Jeremiah 25:33 describes the dead laying around, with no one to bury them or cry over them. During the same 1000 years the righteous are in Heaven on thrones, looking in the books of Heaven. According to John 5:28,29 there are two separate resurrections. When Satan is released for the little season in Revelation 20, the resurrection of those not in Christ will happen. They will come after God's people that have come down from Heaven in the city, to watch the end of sin. Fire will burn to ashes the effects of sin and Satan and his followers. The results will be everlasting, long after the fire burns it's self out into the ashes Malachi 4:1-3 and Ezekiel 28:18,19. Then God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth Revelation 21. It means do not worry because Jesus has made plans for us to be in a great place of peace and safety.
This is one of the rapture verses. No matter what we see coming on the earth we are not to be troubled because He will come for us and we won't have to be here. The Apocalypse will last 7 years. We will be with Him in heaven during that time and come back with Him at the end of those years. Read Revelation chapters 4-end of the book. The church is not present for those horrible things.

there is a different place for all ,depending on the works you have done . mother theresa would be in a higher place than say you or me . but we would be like jesus be able to move around
1. Fear is useless.
2. There are no quotas on how many people may be saved.
3. Jesus is the way to salvation.
4. The way to Jesus, and ultimately to salvation, is devotion to His mother, Mary.
Jesus is speaking, He is giving sound advice in telling us not to worry, because if you Believe in the Father, then you believe also in Him. He is speaking further of the placebible verse john 14 14 of rest that God has prepared for us where we will mansion with Him when we leave the flesh body, as well as His ascent back to the Father where He sits on the right hand side of His throne on the mercy set.

Jesus is saying that there is salvation and eternal life in Him and the Father. And that we must do has Jesus taught and follow and obey the instructions of God found in His word of truth, the Holy Bible.

Jesus also said, (4), "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto to the Father but by me." John 14:6. Reading a little further from the passage, gives you a little more insight to.

Hope this helps and God bless you.
i really wish God could give us a modern bible... all their analogies were fine and dandy back then, but now it's a little harder to relate...

i don't really know the whole context because i dont know what Jesus was responding to.
"You believe in God; believe also in me" - first of all, he is saying that he is a part of God (in the trinity) so that the Jews need to believe that he is the Son of God.

"My Father’s house has many rooms" - I think he is trying to say that heaven is meant to have everyone go there, but it is the person's choice whether or not he lives in such a way that he deserves to go there.

"prepare a place for you" - this means Jesus had to die to open up the gates of heaven. before Jesus died, no one was able to go to Heaven because of adam and eve's sin closed the gates of heaven (for another topic). Jesus died sinless, unlike any other human ever did, so he opened them up for everyone to be able to go in.

"I will come back..." - could be a number of things. it could be when he was raised from the dead (probably), or the second coming, or when you die.

"You know the way to the place where I am going.” - Jesus lived exactly how we should live. he set an example for how we should be to go to heaven, while we aren't perfect like him, we should try to imitate it as best we can.
1. This is jesus talking to you and he is telling you to not let things bother you because if you belive in god then you belive in jesus. 2. (his fathers house) is heaven and having a room is telling you that god has a spot for you in heaven and your spot in heaven is what god had prepared for you. 3. and hes saying that when he makes your spot in heaven he will come down and get you (this will be your death on this earth). so that you can be with jesus. 4. the place where he is going is heaven.

so basicaly this whole thing is telling us that god is making our spot in heaven and when he does he will come and get us and live with him in hevan.
We read it at funeral masses all the time. Mean's that there is a place for us after death in the Kingdom of God
It deals with the Book of Revelation and other books bible verse john 14 14in the bible.

Very good Question.

This Verse is actually referring to the 144,000 who will be with Jesus to rule this earth after Armageddon for 1000yrs and at the end of it they will handover it to God almighty.

The Apostle's and many more belong to this 144,000.
Sounds like Jesus runs a kick-a** hostel.
Jesus was preparing His followers for a time when He would no longer be with them daily. He was encouraging them in the midst of a time of change by sharing that even though He would not be with them like He had been, He would be doing things on their behalf and preparing for a time when they would be reunited.
No matter what the world tells you or what it sounds like, to trust God at all times. Even when there is no jobs, basically don't trust in your job, money, etc, but Him because he alone gives you these things. To believe that Jesus is the Son of God, not a prophet as some people believe he was. That Jesus is the way to the father if you don't believe in Jesus you cannot come to God the Father. No one not a virgin, a saint can be the way to the Father only Jesus, He makes this very clearly.
ex.Many religions think that if you pray to Mary his mother, you will be saved but that is not true, why? because Jesus was the one that died and resurrected not Mary or Paul. Yes, Jesus did resurrect people from the dead but not one is sitting next to the Father, only Jesus. 144,000 people are not the only ones that will be saved, if it was then he would have already come plus these were true Jews not Gentiles and (even though when Jesus died gentiles n Jews became one but in revelation it indicates more like if you are from the U.S you are America n if you are from Mexico Hispanic)
Jesus will return for those that believed and belong to Him believe that He will. That he is going to the Father, to be our lawyer and intercede for us for we keep on sinning and because of His blood we are reedemed and because of His resurrection we are too, to be resurrected so one day we will go with him.
try this translation

Jhn 14:1 "Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me.

Jhn 14:2 There are many rooms in my Father's home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly.

Jhn 14:3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

Jhn 14:4 And you know where I am going and how to get there."
he was talking to people that believe.
it means god is not real, read the fine print.
