can dogs see color humansCan dogs see color like us humans can?

I've been wondering if my Shih-Tzu was able to see color. Can all dogs see color? Can my Shih-Tzu see color?
Dogs see color, but not in the same way humans do. They lack the cones/ability to distinguish between red, orange, yellow, and green. Red and orange are actually the most popular colors for dog toys, which my confuse your pup. When playing fetch with one of thse colors, you may notice that your dog heads right tcan dogs see color humanso where he thinks he saw it go down, but still can't quite manage to place it.

Dogs appear to have a strong color preference for the color blue! Their range of vision looks much like:
Brown, gold, grey, light blue, medium blue, dark blue.
Humans see:
Red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, violet.

Your dog has some amazing eye qualities though! He can see much better than you in the dark, he can processcan dogs see color humans fast moving images better (if you were watching a race together, he'd see it better and faster than you), and he has better peripheal vision (with the exception of a few breeds, like the Chow Chow).

I found some links for you, incase you don't believe me, LOL
