Need permission to print lyrics for a soldier's funeral
If you are going to print lyrics for distribution, you need to contact the publishing company that owns the rights to the printed lyrics. You might be able to find that information at the Harry Fox Agency website. That's where you can purchase the rights to record copywritten material.
Are you positive you need permission? I though you only need permission if you're going to make money off it somehtoby keith lyricsow. Anyways, my condolences to the family/friends.
The lyrics to the song, written by Toby Keith and Chuck Cannon, are controlled by the music publishers. Harry Fox is a performing rights agency--they can't help you in this case.
You would send a request to each of the publishers, and note that you are also writing to the other one. Tell them what you want to do, and make sure you mention that you are happy to print a credit line as they specify:
